I Noticed Something in My Neighborhood
More Christmas lights. This is the first year we are actually walking up and down the different streets and practically everyone is lighting up their houses. It's so festive. Even here in warm South Florida. It actually feels like Christmas for the first time in a few years.
This year has been tough for most people in my neighborhood. My husband just recently got a job (2 actually) and I believe things are looking up. Maybe it's just the lights, but I'm seeing something more there. People want to celebrate. They want to stop with the all of the negativity. They want to be happy again. It may be a small sign, but maybe it is a sign of things to come. Thanks to you all and God Bless Merry Christmas to all Happy Hannukka to all And to all a Happy New Year ![]()

1. Seen my neighbor across the street on a 20 foot ladder putting them up on his house
Been my neighbor over 20 years and he never put them up before.

2. My neighborhood, too, here in South California. . .
I get the feeling we're sort of like the Whos in Whoville, content to celebrate the season despite the efforts of the world's Gingrinches to make the season a fright.

4. Same around NW PA, haven't seen so many lights since I was a kid, 60's. Maybe it is a sign of hope.
I love the lights!
