I am pretty sick of every political pundit out there

There are only a few exceptions that honestly try to portray the world as it is.

Rachel Maddow and Paul Krugman - the rest are all entertainers (although Stewart and Colbert are great entertainers).

Matt Taibbi is THE BEST. No one can report as well as he does.

Without Matt, we wouldn't know the half of what the banksters are up to and how those who are *supposed* to be regulating them are turning a blind eye.

The revolving door of career options...

He's the true definition of a journalist. He holds truth to power on both sides, as journalists should. Occasionally I disagree with his conclusions, but he is an outstanding journalist.

Pundits are theoretically there to provide good commentary, but you're right. They're just entertainers who go on TV and yell or write inflammatory things to get people riled up.

We're worse off because there are more BillOs than there are Taibbis.

but Krugman has proven to know very little about the real world of politics, which is not where is expertise lies. He is also one of these Prince of Doom apocalyptic types.

Isnt he the one who thinks life expectancy increase is due to the increased wealth of the 1%. Ofc you have to be totally insane to believe that the average is greatly increased by a few millionaires/billionaires doubling and tripling their wealth as opposed advances in healthcare and technology.

Also someone going from making $10m /year to making $100m/ years will most likely not affect his life expectancy as opposed to someone going from $60k to $30k.

Even Rachel and Krugman do that sometimes, although Krugman much more so. But Rachel probably does the best job by virtue of being basically facts-obsessed on most issues.

That man had been on the trail of fraud ever since the S&L scandals.

One VERY astute cookie.

I remember when he was asked in an interview what he thought of the punditry and the 24-hr news, he said it was like watching pro wrestling. You know what side someone is advocating for without even having to watch it. There's Lefties, Righties, and the "shocked" commentators when one guy pulls out the metal folding chair (my metaphor).

I can't watch any of it, including msnbc anymore. Life's too short.
