and not personality based debate begin.

Issues over personality, or you are playing the con and media game of distraction and frustration because there is never a winner in a personality war. And nothing gets done.

Me first.

The next Democratic President obviously has to build on the specific and well detailed economic reforms either proposed or implemented by the Democratic Party current President.

Warren and Sanders have excellent ideas on economic reform that President Obama also supports, so all primary candidates must give details of those reforms and explain why they agree or disagree with those reforms.

We can then respectfully VOTE in the primary, and VOTE like your life depended on it in the general in support of the Nominated Candidate.

Two women on the ticket won't happen until one gets elected first. As for your prediction, it was pretty obvious to me in 2004 at the DNC that he would quickly run, as the establishment could not stop praising him.

Hispanic half...Rubio does not count. It is possible a natural Spanish-speaking/bilingual on the ticket would really bring out the Hispanic vote...enough to make the difference. We've never had a candidate who could speak directly to the largest minority. It's also why the Rs are willing to shut things down over immigration.

THE POTENTIAL OF THE HISPANIC VOTE

Hispanics have become the racial or ethnic minority with the greatest demographic concentration in the United States. They represent 15.5 percent of the country’s total inhabitants, even more than the African American population. “Potential Hispanic voters make up 8.9 percent of the American electorate, which is equivalent to 9.2 million possible votes” The Latino community is exhibiting the fastest growth among American ethnic minorities: a rate of 3.3 percent. At 27 years of age, they are also younger than the rest of the Americans; the average age of the country’s general population is 36.6. About 30 percent of Hispanics are younger than 18, which has led many to believe that the future of the United States is Hispanic. These data show that, within five years, one out of every four children between 5 and 9 years of age will be Hispanic, and in a decade, 25 percent of children between the ages of 10 and 14 will be.

......Potential Hispanic voters make up 8.9 percent of the American electorate, which is equivalent to 9.2 million possible votes.

“Abstention also plays a role among Latinos” The difference between the total number of Hispanics in the country and those that are registered to vote can be explained by the fact that the majority are immigrants that arrived without documents, they lack citizenship, they haven’t yet reached the voting age or they haven’t enrolled in the electoral registry.

Abstention also plays a role among Latinos. In 2004, the Hispanic population that could vote in the presidential election was 7 percent of the electoral registry. However, only 18 percent exercised that right. In other words, 82 percent of the registered Hispanics did not vote. In contrast, 51 percent of the white population went to the polls, while the black community’s participation was 39 percent.

warren will not seek 2016 nomination as it would be 100% certain win for conservatives in the general as she knows...the 100% sure way to the WH is 4 years as hillary's VP, hillary in 2020, retiring and turning the next 8 years over to warren....any commonsense approach makes this strategy

screw warren idealism at this time, as it guarantees losing

Warren would win in a landslide if she changes her mind.

I'm just glad to know a lot of people are all in the same boat - we vote for the primary candidate. I really thought this went without saying. IMO, the people here with crossed arms will be pulling the D lever just not admitting to it.

I could beat people over the head with, 'so you would let Satan into office first, before voting for your party' but I won't. That is not cool and I respect people that want options and a primary. I just don't see any other viable candidate right now. That can change in a years time, but HRC is the one to beat. It is dishonest to pretend she is not imo.

I will K&R any thread from now on that is about unity in the party.
