Ted Nugent: Romney Camp ‘Expressed Support’ After Anti-Obama Screed

Ted Nugent: Romney Camp ‘Expressed Support’ After Anti-Obama Screed

Rocker Ted Nugent has a history of violent rhetoric against President Obama and other leading Democrats, but after saying he expected to be “dead or in jail” if the president won re-election, he found himself interviewed by the Secret Service. Nugent, whom Mitt Romney personally reached out to in order to secure his endorsement, told CBS that he spoke with the Romney camp again after the incident and that they “expressed support” for him. TPM reached out to a Romney spokesman to confirm his account and will post their reply.

I posted here before about our VN vets group speaking to a HS class taught by a guy who got his draft notice, resisted, and spent 18-24 months in prison for it.

We Vietnam vets had enormous respect for that teacher, because he honored his principles and was willing to sacrifice for them.

Our view of Nugent may best be described using a Vietnamese espression--he's not worth the "little fingernail" of that teacher we were proud to work with.

for their principles and and someone who uses a cowardly trick to avoid the military then. People were arrested to protest to waste of young American lives in Vietnam and they deserve credit for standing up for their ethics. Nugent is just a loud mouthed coward.

dead or in jail after Obama gets elected again.

Should be almost as funny as "I didn't go to Vietnam because I would have shot all the American liberals as well as the "gooks".

he would distance himself from those comments. So, he will probably embrace them instead and make it clear he supports threats on Obama.

Even when their acts are violent. I watched the NBC special on the bin laden raid twice tonight. It is informative that Joe Biden voted at the critical moment to wait. Obama overruled Biden and others and went out on a limb. Romney simply has not shown for one second the capacity to facedown people that he wants on his side and make decisions those people will be unhappy with.

Obama risked his Presidency in that raid because he knew how important getting finality on bin laden was. Romney wouldn't have taken that risk, regardless of what he claims now that the raid was successful.

I think that even if Rmoney had a group urging him to order the raid, Rmoney would be the one saying they should wait.

I'm sure the Romney Camp and the Republican party are overjoyed to be associated with your rhetoric.
