Bartcop........

This week marks the one year anniversary of Bartcop's passing. I cried like a baby when he died. I make this post in his honor. Bart, you are missed and loved. We so need your input right now. You my friend would have a field day with all that goes on. Your sides would ache with laughter at the stupid that surrounds us.

Thank you for helping us to keep on keepin' on at the beginning of what has turned out to be some of the darkest days in history.

My best to Mrs. B. and all who miss and loved you! Peace, Kim

BFEE Scorecard

Bartcop coined the term "Bush Family Evil Empire" to denote the 60-year pre-eminence of one family in the formation of the political philosophy in the United States, that of the War Party. The first to do so to my knowledge on the World Wide Web, Bartcop chronicled their ascension to the top of the national security state by hook and by crook. At least three generations have held high national office, while also making big money off war and looting the public Treasury. The last president of the United States, a man who wasn't elected fair and square by any stretch of the imagination, actually said: "Money trumps peace" at a press conference. For some reason, not a single "journalist" had the guts to ask him what he meant by that.

Bartcop did. And We and Democracy are better for it.

Thank you for remembering, peace13! Bartcop made the Internet into a tool for Democracy.

it seemed, suddenly, there were efforts to silence people who were simply trying to figure things out. It made no sense to me that on DK, eg, a so-called Liberal Forum, discussing the stolen 2000 election or as Bartcop called them, the Bush Crime Family, or 9/11 or any of those issues that made the Far Right so very nervous, suddenly became bannable offenses on the so-called major Liberal forum.

That's when I, and many others began to wake up. So if anything, rather than accomplishing whatever goal they had in mind, it only made people pay MORE attention.

When someone is more interested in shutting down discussion rather than examining that which may be uncomfortable, repulsive or disquieting, it is a clear signal that there is something worth discovering. In the case of 9-11, one thing are the ties between the Bush and bin Laden families.

Mark Lombardi made "conspiracy art" based on the criminal connections between people, events and organizations, above is a detail and below "George W. Bush, Harken Energy and Jackson Stephens," then he "committed suicide" in July 2001.

Jim Hatfield also wrote about the same connections, writing in July 2001 that Bush was sore afraid of bin Laden aerial attack at G-7 summit in Geneva in April 2001 that he slept aboard a cramped U.S. destroyer floating offshore rather than stay in a posh hotel protected by NATO anti-aircraft missile system. This was the last article Hatfield saw published, as he also "committed suicide" in August 2001.

Why would Osama bin Laden want to kill Dubya, his former business partner?

By James Hatfield

Editor's note: In light of last week's horrific events and the Bush administration's reaction to them, we are reprising the following from the last column Jim Hatfield wrote for Online Journal prior to his tragic death on July 18:

July 3, 2001—There may be fireworks in Genoa, Italy, this month, too.

A plot by Saudi master terrorist, Osama bin Laden, to assassinate Dubya during the July 20 economic summit of world leaders, was uncovered after dozens of suspected Islamic militants linked to bin Laden's international terror network were arrested in Frankfurt, Germany, and Milan, Italy, in April.

German intelligence services have stated that bin Laden is covertly financing neo-Nazi skinhead groups throughout Europe to launch another terrorist attack at a high-profile American target—his first since the bombing of the USS Cole in Yemen last October.

According to counter-terrorism experts quoted in Germany's largest newspaper, the attack on Dubya might be a James Bond-like aerial strike in the form of remote-controlled airplanes packed with plastic explosives.

SNIP...

In June 1977, Dubya formed his own drilling company, Arbusto Energy ("arbusto" means "bush" in Spanish), in Midland, Texas. Like his father before him, Dubya founded his oil business with the financial backing of investors, including James R. Bath, a Houston businessman whom Dubya apparently first met when they were in the same Texas Air National Guard unit. (Interestingly, both Dubya and Bath were both suspended from flying in August and September 1972, respectively, for "failure to accomplish annual medical examination.&quot

Tax documents and other financial records show that Bath, an aircraft broker with controversial ties to Saudi Arabia sheiks, had invested $50,000 in Arbusto, granting him a 5 percent interest in two limited partnerships controlled by Dubya.

Time magazine described Bath in 1991 as "a deal broker whose alleged associations run from the CIA to a major shareholder and director of the Bank of Credit & Commerce." BCCI, as it was more commonly known, closed its doors in July 1991 amid charges of multibillion-dollar fraud and global news reports that the financial institution had been heavily involved in drug money laundering, arms brokering, covert intelligence work, bribery of government officials and—here's the kicker—aid to terrorists.

Bath was never directly implicated in the BCCI scandal, but according to The Outlaw Bank, an award-winning 1993 book by Time correspondents, Jonathan Beaty and S.C. Gwynne, Bath originally "made his fortune by investing money for [Sheikh Kalid bin] Mahfouz and another BCCI-connected Saudi, Sheikh bin Laden," reportedly the brother of none other than Osama bin Laden, the man accused by the U.S. government of masterminding the August 1998 terrorist bombings of the American embassies in Kenya and Tanzania which killed more than 250 people.

Yes, I learned so much on Liberal Forums where discussion was, at one time, free and open, and where people were able to disagree, and/or question each other, responsibly.

Around 2002-3 I discovered, the suppression of such open discussions began, on Liberal Forum, or at least the one claiming to be the MAIN online, 'liberal' forum.

That did not work as many who found themselves silenced started their own blogs, recounting the history of online intimidation. THAT is where I learned about how the Right Wing oppression began moving to the 'left'.

When something makes no sense, people's interest only increases.

And that's what happened as a huge battle erupted on that forum between, what we later discovered were indeed operatives, and the Liberal Dems.

I hope one day someone will write about the online suppression, the introduction of words like 'CTs' against Liberals etc.

Bartcop, DU, Alternet (the old forums) among others continued to be sources of information.

It is surprising to see this effort raise its ugly head even on forums where the facts still matter.

No amount of bullying, attempt to silence or otherwise, can change facts, which is why the facts are never part of these 'discussions'. The tactics are always 'attack the messenger'. THAT has come to mean to me, 'we are on the right tract'.

Thank you for all you have done to contribute to keeping the facts out there, Octafish.

I looked back through the blog to get the date too. I know he was in the hospital fighting his final battle for at least a week. It's all good on remembering him here. I had not seen it posted in the recent and wanted him to be remembered. My sister died several weeks before Bart and my memory of the two is a bit fuzzy. At the time my thoughts were of two fine people putting up the good fight and moving on....leaving the rest of us here. They know the secret and the rest of us are here, left wondering. Have a great day. Peace, Kim

For instance, I find crop circles a fascinating topic. Here's one example, a graphic representation of pi to the 10th significant figure:

To give an idea of the scale of the thing, the parallel lines are tractor tracks through the crop field. Pretty amazing, IMFO.

Most complex crop circle ever discovered in British fields

By Richard Savill
The Telegraph (UK)
Last Updated: 12:40PM BST 17/06/2008

The most complex, "mind-boggling" crop circle ever to be seen in Britain has been discovered in a barley field in Wiltshire.

The circle is a coded representation of pi to the 10th significant figure
The formation, measuring 150ft in diameter, is apparently a coded image representing the first 10 digits, 3.141592654, of pi.

It is has appeared in a field near Barbury Castle, an iron-age hill fort above Wroughton, Wilts, and has been described by astrophysicists as "mind-boggling".

Michael Reed, an astrophysicist, said: "The tenth digit has even been correctly rounded up. The little dot near the centre is the decimal point.

"The code is based on 10 angular segments with the radial jumps being the indicator of each segment.

"Starting at the centre and counting the number of one-tenth segments in each section contained by the change in radius clearly shows the values of the first 10 digits in the value of pi."

While you have used my observations about crop circles to denigrate me, that is not the real reason for your ridicule. You hope others fail to see how the BFEE connects historical events with current events, specifically matters of war and peace, and the transofrmation of America from a democracy into a police state.

Generation upon generation, knowing only service to power and property.

Kevin Phillips called them a ''multigenerational family of fibbers.''

The Barreling Bushes

Four generations of the dynasty have chased profits through cozy ties with Mideast leaders, spinning webs of conflicts of interest

by Kevin Phillips
Published on Sunday, January 11, 2004 by the Los Angeles Times

EXCERPT...

During these years, Bush's four sons - George W., Jeb, Neil and Marvin - were following in the family footsteps, lining up business deals with Saudi, Kuwaiti and Bahraini moneymen and cozying up to BCCI. The Middle East was becoming a convenient family money spigot.

Eldest son George W. Bush made his first Middle East connection in the late 1970s with James Bath, a Texas businessmen who served as the North American representative for two rich Saudis (and Osama bin Laden relatives) - billionaire Salem bin Laden and banker and BCCI insider Khalid bin Mahfouz. Bath put $50,000 into Bush's 1979 Arbusto oil partnership, probably using Bin Laden-Bin Mahfouz funds.

In the late 1980s, after several failed oil ventures, the future 43rd president let the ailing oil business in which he was a major stockholder and chairman be bought out by another foreign-influenced operation, Harken Energy. The Wall Street Journal commented in 1991, "The mosaic of BCCI connections surrounding Harken Energy may prove nothing more than how ubiquitous the rogue bank's ties were. But the number of BCCI-connected people who had dealings with Harken - all since George W. Bush came on board - likewise raises the question of whether they mask an effort to cozy up to a presidential son."

Other hints of cronyism came in 1990 when inexperienced Harken got a major contract to drill in the Persian Gulf for the government of Bahrain. Time magazine reporters Jonathan Beaty and S.C. Gwynne, in their book "The Outlaw Bank," concluded "that Mahfouz, or other BCCI players, must have had a hand in steering the oil-drilling contract to the president's son." The web entangling the Bush presidencies was already being spun.

The people who tried to overthrow FDR in 1933 had kids.

And they are the ones* screwing America now.

What's different today, is we don't have Smedley Butler or FDR to stop them.

Baron de Rothschild and Prescott Bush, share a moment and some information, back in the day.

* Of course, it's not just a few rich families's offspring who screw the majority today. They've hired help and built up the giant noise machine to continue their work overthrowing the progress FDR and the New Deal brought America for 80 years.

Why would the nation and world's richest people do that? Progress costs money. And they don't want to pay for it, even when they've gained more wealth than all of history put together. Instead, whey continue to work -- legally, through government and lobbyists -- to amass even more, transferring the wealth of the many to themselves.

And instead of an armed mob led by a war hero on a white horse, as planned in 1933, their weapon since Pruneface made his first payment to the Ayatollah has been "Supply Side Economics." To most Americans, that means Trickle-Down.

Rothschild and Freshfields founders’ had links to slavery, papers reveal

By Carola Hoyos
Financial Times

Two of the biggest names in the City of London had previously undisclosed links to slavery in the British colonies, documents seen by the Financial Times have revealed.

Nathan Mayer Rothschild, the banking family’s 19th-century patriarch, and James William Freshfield, founder of Freshfields, the top City law firm, benefited financially from slavery, records from the National Archives show, even though both have often been portrayed as opponents of slavery.

Far from being a matter of distant history, slavery remains a highly contentious issue in the US, where Rothschild and Freshfields are both active.

Companies alleged to have links to past slave injustices have come under pressure to make restitution.

JPMorgan, the investment bank, set up a $5m scholarship fund for black students studying in Louisiana after apologising in 2005 for the company’s historic links to slavery.
