Just some out loud wondering. With the already surprising extent of the backlash to Indiana's just-signed new hate-and-discrimination law, I wonder if it will backfire to the extent that a Democratic candidate could pick up the soon-to-be-vacant Senate seat?
To be sure, this candidate will not be able to run as a "faux Republican" in this scenario, but rather, stand firmly "against hate, to show America that Indiana is better than this," etc.
Would be great if there was some additional political cost to the GOP for this, in addition to the fiduciary ones already, justifiably, piling up on the Hoosier State.
