Anyone see Aasif Mandvi reporting on Missouri gun owner discrimination?

He interviewed a MO lawmaker who wrote and a bill preventing discrimination that doesn't exist. She said it was preventative. He interviewed MO's only gay representative and tried to get the same legislator to support it, to work together with the gay lawmaker to pass law protecting discrimination that does exist. She declined and it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen on television!

Do we have the video yet?

I've eaten sandwiches that were more self-aware than that legislator. Her cluelessness would make her stand out even in the Texas Legislature.

Apparently, the solution here is for all LGBT folks around there to own a gun or two or three.

She is just a convenient fool, a front to vote the way she is told. She does not even remember the bills she votes on. Funny segment but also very revealing.

I am thinking that in the early 20th or late 19th centuries that there was a slang term for a puppet politician but I can't recall what it was. Anybody remember?

And Aasif says, they cannot sue because it's not illegal to discriminate against Gays in MO.

He was dropping the straight-faced "let them say stupid things" Daily Show approach, as he realised she was incapable of seeing any problem with her position. He was really getting into "I'm going to explain this to you like you're a 4 year old" territory.
