Brown’s ‘amazing’ basket came after four missed shots

Sinking a half-court shot is the latest testament to “Downtown Scotty Brown’s’’ basketball prowess, but it turns out it wasn’t quite the lucky basket it appeared to be.

An aide confirmed for the Globe Thursday that Brown sunk the shot, but on the fifth attempt.

Video of the senator’s bucket last Friday at the Hyannis Youth and Community Center was immediately scooped up by his reelection committee, titled “Scott Brown’s Amazing Half-Court Shot,’’ and posted to YouTube.

Obviously, in the cosmic order of things, it is not a big deal and certainly something that most pols would have done, but it gives a certain light to Brown's regular person's credentials. I can only hope the local media will report on this as much as they did on the original story (I wont hold my breath, though)

.....I made a hole in one on my eighth game of golf. It was pure luck, but it only took one shot! I haven't played a game since, and that was 15 yrs ago. Golf is an amenity here where Ilve, so I could play all I want on a nice PGA rated course, but, I don't like golf.
