Sen. Bernie Sanders was interviewed this morning on KQED and said that while is considering a run for President, he will not do so in a way that throws the election to the Republlicans. No link available.

I hope he does do the primary at least. We need discussions to see different opinions out there. I love Bernie.

2. Consistent.

He's said this from the get go. IF he runs (I get the strong feeling he doesn't want to) he has stated it be as a Democratic candidate because of party infrastructure and most importantly, not to aide a Republican victory. He's a very smart man in my opinion. I get the impression he'd prefer to see a younger person take up the mantle but is prepared to if none emerge.
