GOP, liberal Democrats hoping for U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren presidential campaign

WASHINGTON — Republicans and liberal Democrats have something in common: Both are trying to keep alive the prospect that Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren will run for president.

Warren isn't playing along, making the rounds this week to – yet again – insist she's not interested in the White House.

People on both sides have a vested interest in clinging to a dream that is all but certain to remain in the realm of fantasy. The left flank of the Democratic Party wants Warren to challenge Hillary Rodham Clinton in the primary race, or at a minimum, get Clinton to adopt Warren's tough-on-Wall Street agenda. Republicans view a Warren candidacy as a way to sow division among Democrats and boost their own fundraising.

Neither side seems to care much that Warren has repeatedly insisted that she doesn't plan to run for president and is not taking any of the necessary steps to lay the groundwork. That has been the message as Warren conducts a media blitz this week surrounding the paperback release of her memoirs.

"No, I'm not running and I'm not going to run," Warren said Tuesday on NBC's "Today" show. "I'm in Washington. I've got this really great job and a chance to try to make a difference on things that really matter." Asked if she would categorically rule out a campaign, she responded, "I'm not running."

She is an expert 437.932 degree chess player. She is just waiting for the perfect moment to announce.

I think she will announce on the day before the Democratic convention. Imagine the shock value and publicity. The party would then have no choice but to nominate her by acclimation. No money spent on primaries = more money for the general election. And she won't be exhausted by or picked on during the primary.

Starting to seem like an unpleasant club that I would not want to join.
The constant posting about Warren not running is getting kinda funny - it is just jeering, at this point. "Just having fun".
I am wondering when the Rahm-style nastiness will start - "fucking retards", etc.

that clearly mines, "If we post 100,000,000 more times we want her to run ... well ... she might run."

YEs, I'd like to see Elizabeth Warren run, but I also like Hillary Clinton. We need a President in 2016 who will not allow republicans in Congress to take away our health care ,both Medicare and Obama care. also, they would try to take away our Social Security. Some say, "OH, that will never happen." All Republicans in Congress are afraid of the tea party. If a Republican gets elected President, he will go along with whatever congress tells him. He will cower along with the rest of them, and shut down the govt. again, or take away soc security and health care. It will be too late to fight back, unless we have a strong Democratic President similar to Obama. We need a President who won't sign the laws that take away from the middle class, and give to the rich. Concerned
