I am generally positive on the Iran Deal, as it stands now, but I have to admit I haven't gotten that enthusiastic about it because I assumed that Congress, run by Republican Jerks, would cut the legs out from under it.
But I could be wrong, and I'd really like to be wrong.

Except the rest of the world would lift sanctions. Iran and the world have won. It is over.

(20,661 posts)1. Yes - they can vote to continue the sanctions, which would in effect kill the deal,
as Iran would no longer feel any motivation to hold up their end of it.
HOWEVER, it would require a 2/3 vote, which means a good number of Democrats would have to get on board to override the guaranteed veto from the President.
