'Pierre Poutine' launched robo-calls from computer used by Tory campaign

Source: The Globe and Mail

The robo-calls fraudster behind the alias “Pierre Poutine” used the same computer to set up misleading pre-election calls in Guelph as the one used by the local Conservative campaign to order legitimate dialing campaigns, court documents indicate.

Allan Mathews, the Elections Canada investigator looking into fraudulent robo-calls that sought to suppress the vote in the Ontario riding during the 2011 federal ballot, has filed more documents in court detailing new findings.

Records also show that two Conservative Party workers have told Elections Canada investigators of conversations with Michael Sona, a Tory Guelph campaign staffer, where he discussed American-style voter disruption tactics.

... Christopher Crawford, a member of the local Guelph election campaign, ... told Elections Canada he overheard a conversation in which Mr. Sona “was describing ‘how the Americans do politics,’ using the examples of calling non-supporters late at night, pretending to be Liberals, or calling electors to tell them that their poll location had changed.”

Robocalls linked to Guelph Tory campaign worker's computer
Source: CBC News

Elections Canada has traced a computer from the Conservative campaign in Guelph, Ont., to the account that paid for robocalls that falsely directed voters to the wrong polling station in the last federal election.

Newly released court documents show investigator Al Mathews traced a PayPal account used to pay for the robocalls to the same IP address as a computer used by Andrew Prescott, the deputy campaign manager in the riding.

... Prescott had an account with Racknine, a company that does robocalling, or voice broadcasting, and which was used by "Pierre Poutine" to make the false calls.

... Mathews found that both Prescott and "Pierre Poutine" used the same two IP addresses when logging into their accounts with Racknine. On May 2, 2011 — election day — both clients "accessed Racknine within four minutes of each other," using the same IP address, Mathews says in the court document.

With the two sets of books expose on the F35 costs, the robocalls, the fast-tracking of a British citizen and convicted felon (Conrad Black) through Citizenship and Immigration Canada to get him a temporary visitor visa, their pet party, Wild Rose aka Tea Party North, losing in the Alberta election, etc., the "Harper Government" is being seen by more and more Canadians as what they really are, bush regime incarnate.

It's right there in the middle of their campaign, with multiple lines of evidence.
