So... I Get Home From Work... And 86 Year Old MammaT...

Raising her hand, as in a point of order...

Says... After watching several hours of MSNBC...

"We need to change the motto, E Pluribis Unum (One from many)...

Too... E Pluribus Fuck-Em!"

I love my mom... she's seen a lot in her life.

From what you've posted here, she sounds like a total badass. Keep on kicking, MammaT.

I look forward to the day when I am old enough to just say what I think and not give a damn.

She still has a chest... with ration stamps from the depression in it...

Her husband (I called him Dad) fought in WWII and Korea as a Marine, South Pacific... Forward Radar Installation

She worked her ass off for Zenith...

They survived, and got to live in the few decades that are held up as the American Dream.

And I still miss my dad very much, yet in some ways I'm glad he didn't have to see this.

And while I want to feel the same way about my mom... she's one of the feisty-ous cantankerous Liberals I know. I still learn from her.

They both sacrificed a lot... I stumbled across their love letters from Korea... Mom did not care... encouraged me to read them... and as personal and wonderfully romantic and moving as they were... it killed me...

They did not struggle, sacrifice, fight, and suffer... for THIS CURRENT BULLSHIT!

Instead of Inglorious Bastards... It Should be Ungrateful Bastards.

This is for 3catwoman3: I'm almost 83--with many disabilities, but my ONE advantage is I can do or say just about anything I please and get away with it. I understand Mama.
