From Carlos Miller.... His web site is Photography Is Not A Crime. GREAT SITE!

This may be my most ambitious project yet, but we need to get 25,000 signatures within 30 days in order to get the Obama Administration to review a petition asking the president to protect the rights of citizens to record police officers in public without fear of getting arrested.
Its not asking much from the president considering it is already legal to record police in public, but we know many officers have a different view.
Photography is Not a Crime reader Doug Peterson sent me the link to petition the Obama Administration after reading todays article on the various organizations urging the U.S. Department of Justice to take action in the War on Photography.
I had no idea this platform even existed and by the looks of the existing petitions, not many citizens do.
I tried to keep the petition in line with the organizations letter to Attorney General Eric Holder today, so it is not an accident that I borrowed the phrase the First Amendment has come under assault.
