Why do folks conflate libertarians with Tenth Amendment absolutists? (Original Post) DemocratSinceBirth Apr 2015 OP
Ignorance? Buzz Clik Apr 2015 #1
Because capital-L "Libertarianism" goes hand in hand with "strict construction". (n/t) Spider Jerusalem Apr 2015 #2

The same bag of weed that will get me a $100.00 fine In L A and no criminal record can get me probation or worse and a criminal record in Las Vegas.

* I haven't gotten high since 93, as much out of lack of opportunity as choice.

They're sitting ducks for corporations.

You're dead on. Tenth Amendment absolutism is a dog whistle for imposing Confederate values on Americans.

My point was more mundane...If I want to hire an escort, which I don't , what difference does it make if the federal government or the state government says that I can't?

A libertarian would say that's my right...A Tenth Amendment absolutist would say it's up to the state.

Also the fact they do find themselves on the same side of other issues as well. You are correct that their is a big difference. Not disputing that.
