Anyone who works with the public in any capacity regularly deals with people who are just as bad as her or worse. Many of them are not nearly as well compensated as police officers. There's no excuse for any cop ever to go off on someone because of "attitude" - regardless of whether they're being recorded. Being rude to a cop is no crime.

Mon Apr 13, 2015, 12:04 AM

that deals with the public and their pay is pretty shit especially considering what they do and have to deal with every day. Pay can vary a whole lot depending on the department where one works, and generally the worse the community the worse the pay as well as never having enough officers and equipment. These days with most communities hard pressed so many officers had to be laid off that the ones left are having to do routine double shifts and more to try to fill in the gaps.

This officer acted correctly in the face of a little missie with attitude, but it's nothing compared to what they normally have to deal with all the time. Just doing traffic duty they get attitude all day long from mosts drivers that know they're guilty as sin but just want to try anything to avoid a ticket and then when they do they grumble about that "asshole cop" that gave them a ticket for something illegal that they did rather than "being nice" and just letting them off with a warning. Personally, I don't WANT the police letting people off with warnings for running lights, doing u-turns in the middle of the road, speeding, weaving in and out of traffic, tailgating, passing on the right, driving on the berm and all the other shitheaded things drivers do on a regular basis.

I've never once gotten attitude from a cop and a lot of that has to do with my not giving any attitude to them and admitting that yes, I missed that no turn on red sign or whatever, and if I get a ticket I take it with a thank you. Most of the time I AM let off with a warning and for some things I almost wish I hadn't been. Since only once in my life have I had a good car for a few years many I time I've had issues with the current bucket of bolts and ended up stranded with car problems on the side of the road, and almost every time an officer stopped to help and make sure that traffic knew I was there and didn't plow into me setting up cones and/or waiving people away.

Yes, I know most of DU likes to believe that every cop on the country wants to run around shooting everyone or beating the crap out of people for no reason just because of the few that have done terrible things, but there's no way in the world every cop is like that or would ever dream of being like that despite that pretty absurd attitude. After all, nobody sees all the crap that criminals do and decides that all white men or all black men or all single mothers or all people that live in the south or all people that share any other characteristic with a specific criminal would believe something so stupid. But no, here on DU every single officer in the country is a nutball dying to kill someone, beats people all the time and just hasn't been caught yet or some sort of higher up is letting them off. Even with this video of the average experience of an officer with someone with an attitude is nothing more than every day crap they all deal with all the time and far worse yet there's people here that think the entire episode was so extraordinary in the behavior of the officer.

There's no way on earth I'd do what they do while being universally despised for any amount of money with the crap they have to deal with on a constant daily basis. I'm not going to do any job where I have to wear a bullet proof vest as part of my uniform in case some whack job decides to kill me, and I don't care how much they paid me to do it.

Here we have a video of a cop acting correctly and with concern to a Little Miss Attitude that was so annoying other people in the thread admitting wanting to taze her themselves others believing that the cop's behavior was extraordinary and just more complaining about cops even including whining that giving them attitude like this stooge did wasn't a crime. Well, no shit it isn't crime, it wasn't treated like a crime though she should have gotten a ticket for parking in a fire zone with a sign that said no parking. The cop didn't treat it as a crime, let her go without even a ticket, and now we're whining that giving a cop attitude like this isn't a crime?

No, it isn't a crime, and what this and any other cop has to put up with on a constant basis when plenty of it is a million times worse. What they do is being compared here to nothing different than any other job working with the public job like waitressing or retail or cashier or whatever, yet I don't know anyone working in any job with the public and never had one myself that required me to wear a bullet proof vest and be armed, chase down criminals especially ones that shoot at them, wrestle people to the ground to cuff them when they try to beat the shit out of their wife or kids or the cop themselves, and all manner of nuttiness and violence that cops have to deal with regularly. Comparing their job and any other working with the public type of job is ludicrous on its face.

Why do I ever bother coming into these threads. Same crazy rubbish every time.

Although I think the driver was trying to push the cop into behaving badly, ultimately, there was no need to attack the guy. Clearly, the driver was attempting to pull out paperwork. The cop seemed to simply tire of the situation and he then resorted to violence. I don't believe this would have escalated so quickly if the driver was white.

34. Oh boy! Sovereign citizens!
Sat Apr 11, 2015, 05:58 PM
Apr 2015

This is why the cops are getting touchy about sovereign citizens:

When he started laying down the "I am not driving, I am traveling" thing, I knew it would get ugly QUICK. This is not widely known but I've been following it for a while: There is a subset of the American populace who've decided the only laws that apply to them are the ones they consent to...and since they don't "consent" to any of them, these guys are afoul of the law on a daily basis. We call them sovereign citizens, but they hate the term - you can't be a "citizen" and "sovereign" at the same time. It's an offshoot of the old Posse Comitatus movement, but quite a few African-Americans have decided they're Moors and hence sovereign. One of their biggest beliefs: the only people who need driver's licenses are commercial drivers. They have this huge stack of court cases they cherry pick to make it sound like driving noncommercially doesn't require a license...but when you read the entire case you learn they either have nothing to do with noncommercial driving or they don't involve driving at all. They also LOVE to quote Bouvier's Law Dictionary - the last edition of which was issued 10 years before the car was invented - and Black's Law Dictionary, even though dictionaries aren't statutes. And they believe a courtroom with a flag that has fringe on it is an "admiralty court" having no jurisdiction over "freemen over the land."

You remember the part in this video where the cop refuses to give the guy his first name? Law enforcers NEVER give out their entire names - cops will give you only their last names, TSA agents only give their first names. There's a reason for it: Sovereigns LOVE to file huge liens against cops, court officers, judges and anyone else who calls them on their bullshit. Imagine trying to sell your house only to find there's a $100 million lien against it. Sovereigns do this shit.

Sovereign citizens need to be stopped because they'll do the same to you without even thinking about it.

For extra entertainment, go to YouTube and find the sovereign "Christopher Fleming." He was one of the biggest proponents of "redemption theory." Redemption theory says the government has purchased a bond against every person in America, the bond is worth billions, the government is using interest on the bonds to finance itself, and that you can cash in on it yourself if you know the secret way: any bill you receive, you write "Accepted for Value" across it in red ink at a 45 degree angle (both the red ink and the angle are critical - apparently one degree more or less negates its worth) and send it back to the people who sent it to you. Ol' Christopher A4V'd him a $2 million house. Ol' Christopher has been thrown in jail approximately 50 times for A4Ving shit, and is now living on the streets out of a duffel bag...and he STILL thinks this shit works. Some ditz named Druana is pretty entertaining too - her A4Ving pissed so many people off she fled to Mexico, which conveniently has no extradition treaty with the United States. She refers to her new life as living in Paradise. No dear, your new life is called Being On The Run From The Authorities.

Sat Apr 11, 2015, 06:59 PM

the full extent of the concept before your post.

I wondered what was up when the 'traveler' in the video kept asking for the cops first name. No cop ever gives a first name! And I thought it was to keep nutjobs from hunting the cops and their families down when the cop is off duty. Now I know the real reason!

How convenient . . . I shall write "Accepted for Value" across all of my bills from now on, in red ink and at a 45 degree angle, of course, make no restitution, and suffer no consequences. Astounding!

41. Don't do that
Sat Apr 11, 2015, 08:13 PM
Apr 2015

If you look at the "A4V" YouTube videos, you'll notice they've all been overlaid with "I no longer recommend A4V, instead do..."

Ten years ago when they started this shit, very few people were familiar with the A4V scam. Now they are.

Redemption Schemes 101:
Your sovereign believes the government has a big chunk of money sitting on account and, by holding their tongues in just exactly the right way, untold riches will fall out of the sky and drop on their heads.

It is more than obvious SOMETHING fell out of the sky and dropped on their heads, but the "something" is probably closer to one of those huge chunks of frozen shit that used to come out of airliners.

Anyway, to make this work requires a LOT of paperwork - so much paperwork the county clerk just throws her hands up and dismisses the case. The heart of the scheme is the "Affidavit of Truth."

Here is an example of one, but this is pretty short:
http://www.mind-trek.com/practicl/afdv-gen.htm

As with most Sovereign Jedi mind tricks, an Affidavit of Truth does not mean what they think it means. Affidavits of Truth actually exist in the legal system, but they're just used to state the facts in a case.

They also really like the Uniform Commercial Code. They use it to separate themselves into two parts: the "strawman" and the "flesh and blood man." The strawman is a "legal fiction" established by typing the person's name onto a document in ALL CAPS. According to redemption theory, JIM MOWREADER, Jim Mowreader, j,Im m..oW.r.eAde;r and Jim, of the Mowreader Family are four different people. (Quit laughing. They are extremely serious about this, and I really hope they washed the shit off that idea after they pulled it out of their asses; courtrooms typically have poor ventilation and being around shit-stained legal theories is how dysentery spreads.) To detach the strawman from the flesh-and-blood man one must file a UCC-1 form - the document that is legitimately used to secure a real debt. In the same way, they use a lot of IRS forms in ways the IRS never dreamed of.

Read: https://info.publicintelligence.net/FBI-SovereignCitizens.pdf

I've noticed that the rise of the Asshole Rogue Cop has paralleled the rise of the Sovereign Citizen Movement...and I get the strange feeling the sovereigns came first. This crap looks funny as hell to you and I, but to the cops it's deadly serious. These people are very well armed, they are extremely convinced that no one has authority over them, and they WILL shoot.

So I probably shouldn't yell "I'm a sovereign citizen" if, DOG forbid, I am ever pulled over by the cops? I'm Caucasian, so they probably wouldn't just outright shoot me (I remembered this time).

You sure know a lot about this stuff. I had no idea how nutty sovereign citizenry was! Is this an offshoot of libertarianism?

Apr 2015

Libertarians think there is some slight role for the government, but everything that CAN be privatized SHOULD be. Sovereign Citizenship is all about me-me-me.

The redemption schemes are proof of that. You know they think THEY should receive money for the things they do and sell, but there's no reason anyone else should expect money - especially from them.

These guys aren't "nuts." They're dangerous as hell.

And, lots of people are in jobs that require them to deal with assholes and their rude, nasty behavior, and to be polite to them at all times.

53. How were your pay and benefits for doing that

compared to the pay and benefits of a police officer?

For the most part, police are very well compensated. They should be able to deal with "attitude" and "lip" and whatever other verbal bullshit people throw at them. And no one should act like a cop is some kind of saint for doing his job correctly.

A POC would have been tased, arrested or shot. And she knows that. But her white privilege makes her immune to such treatment. And she knows that. You really think any POC with a lick of common sense would bait the police like that?
