I presume you would not prefer the republicans to secure the house, senate, and white house simultaneously, yes? If we don't get a better option... well. One would not enjoy a repeat of 108th congress and a small plant in the oval office. I would consider even a 3rd way Hillary a better outcome than that.
They'll be so busy trying to impeach her for farting in the oval office, they won't have time to try banning abortion, and all the other idiot ideas that pop into their brains.

I can't believe people are so hard up for things to criticize Hillary about that they're reduced to complaining about an arrow pointing to the right. Pointing to the left would signify going BACKWARDS, which is hardly the direction any progressive wants to go.

(45,251 posts)There is no doubt what they are trying to show us because they have clearly labeled, not merely told us, "Whatever it is we are talking about, it's political, it's red in color and the direction of it is to your right. You figure it out from there."
BTW not for nutthin, but the Middle East does not order numbers the same way we do. We order Arabic numerals the same way they do.

Clear troll.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Mon Apr 13, 2015, 12:12 AM, and the Jury voted 0-7 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Well, I find the logo unfortunate, too. The first thing I thought is 'move to the right'. So maybe the poster has a point. I like Hillary and she's the best option so far, but that logo needs to go. The post can stay.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: It's an opinion. I don't see any reason to hide.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: He/she may or may not be a troll. But there's nothing wrong with the post.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I'm not wild about the red arrow either but this OP is not worth a hide.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE

(9,126 posts)It is part of the growing trend from movies to corporate that shows they just don't want to pay a talented graphics person. I'm very disappointed. Especially since Obama's campaign excelled in graphics, down to a bible for fonts and colors, as any good marketing campaign would make. It just devalues all the truly talented people who could have made an amazing logo.

Clearly nobody that knows anything other than republican right wing jerko's wants everything that has been done undone.
The logos design by it's design is meant to compliment or boost her campaign slogans. So at current you are looking in part ,the whole of it comes together when the campaign is on the move, rolling right along you might say.In part in context ,as it all breaks down and what it all means. It is after all a long road ahead.
Politicians are all about doing all the talking, Hillery says she's going to be doing a lot of listening, that is an indication that there will be
a lot of on the road additional issues she will address as a result of listening to the people along the way. What it could mean is the campaign will be built up as it goes on the road. That leaves plenty of room for on road revisions, kind of a tailor made campaign,a new way you might say.
For now, a logo at least has has you looking and wondering, even criticizing, it therefore does what it is supposed to do !

And the Puerto Rican flag:
Which are symbolic of the Caribbean and our future as we join with our brothers and sisters to the south of the north american nations. There's been a decided trend in that direction.
And if she picks, as many of us hope, Julian Castro as VP, it'll have that hispanic touch, either of them. More of my hispanic friends liked HRC over Obama.
But I LOVE the flowing nature of yours.
I just don't know if the more blocky version is cheaper to make images?
I haven't dealt with this. I doubt it's set in stone. I don't see the rightward political symbolism some see. Her actual record is 'left - liberal' on the political leaning charts.
Women and minorities find her well to the left of the common political spectrum. The only ones I see that focus on her alleged 'right' leaning are rehashing memes that don't work for a lot of people anymore, they are getting old.
JMHO. I hope your version is adopted.

(57,751 posts)and labels is not something people care about. I don't care that much for the logo, but not because of the direction the arrow is pointed, and I'm certainly not going to waste anytime worrying about a logo. I get that for some people here all they care about is labels of left and right. The rest of the country, however, cares about issues, real stuff that effects their lives. What a few internet warriors fear is some cryptic drift to the right is a non-issue.
NiceTryGuy
(53 posts)Hillary is trying to run away from her own brand - to re-brand herself as a progressive. All this logo does is reinforce the brand that she is running away from. It's just bad. Amateurish.

(20,317 posts)It's like she's completely unaware of Democrats being concerned that she's too far right, or that the party has moved too far to the right. I'm a graphic designer myself, and this is the sort of thing that would be nixed in the first meeting by a team that had some familiarity with the audience.
It may be reading a lot into a minor thing, but the fact that this was approved suggests to me that she lives in something of a political bubble.
Also, just creatively-- it actually looks amateurish in it's execution. I hate to sound catty because I'm sure she must've paid some studio to do it, but really-- it looks like something you'd get from an intern in the first round, along with 20 other explorations.
