but in Arkansas, my vote means little in Presidential elections. Since 1980 it's always been 60-40 for Republicans, except when a certain Southern governor was running. I could have cast 10,000 votes for Carter in 1980, or Mondale in 1984, and they still would have lost the state by a wide margin.

third party has exactly zero chance of winning, and a vote for a third party candidate is numerically identical to a vote for whatever Republican is running.
