Yeah, she probably didn't use the meat to eat, but the dead animal doesn't care whether it's eaten or not. Dead is dead. All the cows killed by a projectile to the brain don't get photos on the internet.

I expected a lion, or a rhino, or anything but a giraffe. I can see the urge to shoot something big and wild, but a giraffe just wanders around munching on trees. Don't turn her loose in farm country, or she'll be gunning down the Holsteins.

Because the lion will only have what he was born with, so that's fair there.

Remember, Mr. Tough Guy would volunteer to be in the cage, the lion would not.

And Mr. Tough Guy can unlock the door on the cage, so he still has that advantage.

No, I'm not going to be nice about it.

Fewer than 80,000 left...nothing at all to smile about.

"Giraffe numbers are dwindling across Africa because of poaching and habitat loss caused by human population growth, according to wildlife experts, and it's happening largely unnoticed.

“It’s a silent extinction,” Dr. Julian Fennessy, Executive Director of the Namibian-based Giraffe Conservation Research group and a leading wildlife scientist with 16 years of experience, told ABC News.

Now conducting the first comprehensive assessment on giraffes to be published next year, Fennessy said there’s been a drop of more than 40 percent in the mammal population in the last 15 years..."

Is she gonna eat it? Probably not.

Was it killing her livestock? Doubtful.

Was it charging her and posing a threat to her life? Unfortunately not.

I've been a hunter since I was eight years old and I've shot lots of critters that I either ate or donated the meat to charity.

I've also raised sheep and shot predators that were threatening our lambs (coyotes and a few wild dogs).

And every year I have to dispatch one or two rattlesnakes before they can slither into my garage or find their way into the basement.

But a giraffe? Gimme a break. That is one sick beyotch.

http://www.sfgate.com/entertainment/morford/article/Dick-Cheney-Kills-Birds-Dead-The-manly-veep-has-2808606.php

From the article:

More than 400 birds were killed in one lackadaisical afternoon. Dick himself blasted the living crap out of 70 birds, all by himself. That's right, 70. Plus an unknown number of mallard ducks. Then they had them all plucked and vacuum packed and sent back home to show off to the staff. Dick was driven back to the airport in a Humvee.
