http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Politics/2012/0506/Joe-Biden-stirs-the-pot-on-same-sex-marriageUh-oh. Did Joe Biden just get out front of his boss on gay marriage?
On NBCs Meet the Press Sunday, the Vice President had this to say:
I am absolutely comfortable with the fact that men marrying men, women marrying women, and heterosexual men and women marrying another are entitled to the same exact rights, all the civil rights, all the civil liberties. And quite frankly, I dont see much of a distinction beyond that.
Being Number 2 in the White House, Biden naturally preceded that eye-opener with, I am vice president of the United States of America. The president sets the policy.

(47,992 posts)1. He needs to call the churches out on PRETENDING to be oppressed on this issue, when in fact, it is
they who are the oppressors.
Just as we were talking about in another thread here: NO church would be required by any law to marry LGBTQ persons "or else" suffer prosecution. Their right to refuse to do so is intact.
I think there are a lot of churches who don't want people to know this, because if people DID know that they aren't being forced to marry anyone, they'd see that it is the churches who are the oppressor here and people would run from those congregations like hell, on that fact alone, regardless of what most of them personally think about LGBTQ right to marry.
