these are some sick fuckers.....
"I am dying to have this debate" the South Carolina Republican and potential presidential candidate said.
A House version of the proposal a federal ban on abortions after 20 weeks became mired in controversy before an embarrassed leadership had to pull it from the floor. Some of the GOP's female lawmakers objected to language associated with a rape exemption. But Graham still believes the measure is a winner with American voters:
The extremism, to me, is allowing wholesale abortions at that stage of development, Graham said.

(13,110 posts)fanatics don't give a damn about the living.
They only concern themselves with the unborn.
I am sick of this shit.
We fought this battle and we won.
We take one step forward and these assholes shove us three steps back.
I wish they could find a country they could purchase and start their own Theocracy.
They want the U.S. to be a white's only Christian Theocracy run by Theocratic Corporations.
They are truly sickening.

(45,851 posts)Where were all those women voters then?
And you are assuming Hillary is going to win the nomination, you might recall how things worked out in 2008.
I have women in my extended family who I know for an absolute fact have had abortions and yet they are fanatical abortion opponents and would never consider voting for a Democrat under any circumstances.
Downtown Hound
(12,618 posts)that has been proven time and again. More of them come out to vote. And your family is not all of America. Most women are overwhelmingly pro-choice, and rate the issue as very important to them.

(45,851 posts)I have women on both sides of the issue in my family, thankfully the antis do not have a particularly close relationship with the rest of us.
The Democrats have won three consecutive Presidential terms exactly twice, Martin Van Buren in 1836 and FDR in 1940.

(12,618 posts)It's a completely different world now and the demographics of the country are totally different and so are the issues. Women accounted for 55% of the vote last time and most of them went Dem. Hispanics account for a full 10% of the voting block and 75% of them went Dem. The age of the angry white guy is coming to an end.
Good riddance to it.
By the way, Gore also won in 2000, both in popular vote and electoral vote.
