General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsWho's dangerous among the current GOP clown car participants?
Here's who's supposed to be in..
Rand Paul
Marco Rubio
Mike Huckabee (I always change the H to the F)
Ben Carson
Ted Cruz
John Ellis "JEB" Bush
Rick "Still Frothy" Santorum
Carly Fiorina
Scott Walker
When I look at the list - all of them are total clowns, not really interested in representing the people and will sucker these poor folks who vote against their own self interest...
None of them are going to ascend. Who is?
Who do you think is dangerous among the clown car participants?
The Velveteen Ocelot
(116,225 posts)At this point that's probably Jeb.

(10,237 posts)with sharp objects but Cruz could be the most dangerous because he appears to be totally demented .

(14,449 posts)Rubio is most dangerous in group mentioned because I have watched his videos in Spanish and he could get some of our voters like W did.
Not listed, Walker no doubt. That scenario of winnin 3 elections in 4 years may appeal to some Independents. And not having a degree may make him "one of us".
Bottom line don't underestimate any of them. Act like they are winning everyday so that they don't.

Most dangerous? Cruz, Huckabee, or any of the others who would give us the theocratic hucklebuck, which literally could be any of them.

(3,431 posts)Looking at the money collection and useful connections,
I think it will be Bush. Yet he can only do so by
supporting the idiotic primary voters, which might
cost him a bit. Still, I think he is far more
devious than most people think.

(42,641 posts)a combination of George W. Bush and Richard Nixon.
Bush has the appearance of a not too bright man, but the good old boy covered while a lot of damage was done in eight years. He was the clown who stood in front of Cheney. People focused on Bush's language while Cheney acted.
Bush reminded me of Ronald Reagan, another friendly appearing man with a vicious racist core.
Walker has the common man persona but he is a total whore for the rich who would do anything to get elected. No scruples or morals to slow him down, either. He is controllable, always a plus for people like Charles Koch and Sheldon Adelson.

(14,631 posts)They are all clowns, but it's almost inevitable that one of these nut jobs will be the GOP nominee.
They all scare the shit out of me!

(30,811 posts)I think the rest are stalking horses. They are showing us the worst of the worst, so that when he is selected, he will look like a good candidate. We must remember his past transgressions, and keep them in front of the voters. We should repeat and repeat the things he has done, the same way they chant on about Benghazi, Dean's alleged scream, and other things. We have more truth on our side, and the voters need to hear it.
Don't forget Florida in the 2000 election. BTW, if Hillary has an email problem, where are Jebbie's emails?

(360 posts)People elected Bush Jr despite what his father did, and then he was reelected for term 2.

(10,123 posts)After having the idiot son selected and somehow elected, any of them is dangerous. Plus all the idiots in this country who vote against their own self interests every election.

(146,373 posts)Any Republican President elected in 2016 will set the nation back decades almost instantly, because a Republican Congress will also be in place, giving Republicans control of all three branches of government. So, they're all dangerous.

Rick Goodhair Perry
Bobby Jindal
Chris Christie
John Bolton
Mike Pence
John Kasich (Gov ohio)
Donald Trump
George Pataki
Sarah Palin
John Kasich could be the most dangerous GOP nominee in that he is less insane than most and has done a decent job in Ohio. Walker's numbers in Wisconsin are horrible and will hurt him.
