"These drone strikes create more terrorists. So, the war will keep going on and the question is who profits? And the answer to that is the officers, the senior generals, arms makers, and arms dealers," he said in an interview with Press TV's US Desk on Sunday.
"The arms dealers will give heavy contributions to both political parties and the people in Congress who remained in office," McGovern added.
The analyst also criticized the former administration of George W. Bush and incumbent Barack Obama for disregarding international law over the attacks.

Are any of the supporters of the civilian-slaughtering drones aware that not only are the drone strikes slaughtering numerous innocent civilians and generating more blowback but also allowing the military-industrial complex to profit at the expense of other peoples's lives?

(82,849 posts)So that means unless we want to let the terrorists win, we have to keep terrorizing people around the globe, whether they're in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, The Phillippines, or . . . well, YOU name the next hot spot, people! After all, they YOUR drones, dealing out summary execution all over the globe financed by YOUR tax dollars!
And, when the foreseeable, natural and inevitable consequences of our recklessness gets the righteous retribution it deserves, we'll just start up another war, and my god how the money will roll in, roll in, my god how the money will roll in.
