NY'ers: I got a dilemma for you all...

4. Not this NYer, Bernie is in the race, now we in NY have a reason to be excited.

8. Thanks, but nobody knows anything yet. I am in NY and we supported Hillary for the Senate.

I supported her even tried to turn some Republicans around, and at least gave them food for thought.

But the truth is, she isn't remembered as one of our greatest Senators.

She was better than Schumer, no question, at least she was responsive to her constituents, even if the response was computer generated.

Schumer ignores his constituents, so we ignore him.

But Bernie talks the talk NYers have been longing to hear.

He talks and acts on that talk, like FDR.

His record shows he not only talks, he is effective for those in his state who elected him.

He will be up against obscene amounts of Corporate money, but no other state is more aware of the poisonous effects of money in politics than NY. It is the home of OWS where the topic of the corrosive effects of money was intense.

Upstate is generally more Conservative, unlikely to go for Hillary. Bernie otoh, with his positions on farmers, rural issues, has the potential to appeal to a large segment of that population, who feel ignored by the party they have been loyal to, and non existent to the other party.

I think he can step into that vacuum.

NYC is generally Liberal, thank the gods for de Blasio who sounds a lot like Bernie. And they are informed electorate.

Long Island is conservative, Nassau Co especially, but Suffolk is a mix.

There are no certainties. People are really hurting and are angry at both parties. And especially angry at Wall St, across the political spectrum.

We'll see, but I am glad he kept his word, that if we wanted him he would run. We did, and he's running.

Thanks for your good wishes, even if your candidate doesn't win, I feel good to know that you will be well represented.

And if Bernie loses we will just have to accept it and hope for the best.

For now, I'm confident that he has a chance.

for him, without trying too hard. His positions on the issues, won the vote right away. I'm looking forward to really getting started and have no doubt he will be a serious challenger who is far more likely to get that all important Independent vote.
