Our Great Fat Greek....shaving

Mr. Dixie brought the mail in a few minutes ago.
There is a bulky white letter size envelope, from Greece, for him.

and inside are 2 new looking packages of Bic razors, with metal edges or something like that.

Naturally I am curious as hell.

Turns out, he cannot find this type of his favorite razor where we live out here in the sticks.
So he went to e-bay.
and found a seller in Greece.
Total cost is 7.00 for both packages and mailing.
For razors that will last him a year or more.
and no 9.5% tax that we have to pay here.

I am left with the feeling that there is something very wrong in this country.

he gets 5 blades a month, plus the little bathroom booklet filled with quips and such for reading. With shipping he spends about $3.00

They went from cheap trak II type deals to stuff behind locked cases.

I bought 100 razor blades in January 2013 (I looked up my amazon order) for 9.49. (Price is now 9.88).

I still have about 30 left, so I'll probably have to order more sometime later this year.

I did spring for expensive shaving soap. It was about 40.00 for a kg. I bought that sometime in 2012, and it will last at least another year, so I think I spend less than 20.00 a year on shaving.
