I got to thinking about my BIL's traumatic brain injury. It was caused by G forces. His lower face was struck by a heavy metal sheet which caused his brain to strike the front of his skull. Then he went backwards to strike the back of his head on the concrete floor-shattering his hard hat. That damaged the rear of his brain as it crashed into the back of his skull.

It's just my opinion but I think helmet advancements will reach a limit in the prevention of brain trauma.
