It just occured to me ...Hillary and Bernie are geniuses!

I think they are working together. Bernie is pushing the progressives and millenials, Hillary is pushing the old guard, independents and moderate republicans.

regardless of the outcome of the primaries...we will have pulled so many more into our web ....different kinds of sugar!

2008 is still too fresh. I for one LOVE a heated primary, but there are costs to that. Remember the PUMAs?

Personally, I think that Bernie has a great chance of picking off the social Libertarian crowd (forget economic Libertarians - their heads are too far in the clouds to listen to reason) - but that doesn't translate to votes for an 'establishment Democrat' by any stretch of the imagination. And that also doesn't take into account the vast amounts of cash lined up to buy 2016 for the few who can bankroll it.

I think even more moderate republicans are going to cross the line. Hell, the ones I work with nearly puke when they talk about the candidates.
Democrats will vote for Democrats.
We will see the turnout we saw in 2008
