Coleman played Tyrese on Walking Dead, but I am posting it here because some may view this issue as political. I think he needs our support because his response was restrained considering the volatile situation that is going on in this country.
The Walking Dead Star Chad L. Coleman Screams At Riders On NY Subway (VIDEO)
Chad L. Coleman was seen screaming at passengers on a NYC subway in a video posted online. The Walking Dead star was riding a train headed towards Brooklyn on Friday when he started ranting about humanity. See the video below.
In the almost four-minute video, Coleman is heard yelling, I wanna know where my humanitarians are. Yes, Im Chad L. Coleman. Im on The Wire and The Walking Dead. Im not trying to f*cking play no games with you. As he paces up and down the train car, Coleman continues screaming, Yes, Im an actor My name is Chad L. Coleman. Im on The Wire and The Walking Dead and Im not taking it.
At another point in the video, Coleman loudly says to one passenger, Where is your humanit, where is it brother So dont tell me Im making this up. Eventually he sits down on an empty seat on the subway and continues talking to a passenger off camera. According to TMZ, Coleman said he got upset after he overheard a guy and a girl on the subway talking and trying to figure out where they knew him from. Supposedly, the guy told the girl, No, we dont know that n*****. The actor said the guys comment is what set him off, and his rants about humanity was in reference to whats going on in Baltimore.
Coleman has not commented on subway incident, but on Thursday he tweeted, Having pure motives and unconditional love intentionally towards your fellow man. H.U.M.A.N.I.T.Y. Watch the video below of Coleman yelling at passengers on the subway, and tell us what you think.

(46,705 posts)3. I think that article is written all wrong.
They should have written it chronologically, explaining that he heard the "N" word and that the frustration over the Baltimore situation was a tipping point.
Instead, they wrote it in a manner that focused on the reaction, without providing proper context.

I agree with just about everything she said if it's true.
One woman also went to her Tumblr page, and shared aout the medias reporting of the incident involving Coleman. She is not happy with the wording of the headlines used by the media.
Some horrible person used a racial slur against him and he got upset. Im not going to talk about his reaction, because as a white woman, I have never, nor will I ever experience racism against me, so I have no business talking about what he said or shouldnt have said.
The problem is that these headlines are perpetrating the angry black man stereotype. They are making it look like Chad just started ranting and raving on the subway for no reason. They are saying he might be intoxicated, on drugs, etc. Now hes had to apologize for what happened. Hes been made to look like the bad person in this situation. You know who should be sorry? The people that called him that name, the people that stood by and just accepted hearing someone use that word in reference to him.

Here is an article that gives you his background and what he had to overcome. He's a great actor and seems like an even greater man.
*****WARNING: GROSS!*****
When he was an 11-month-old infant, Colemans parents abandoned him and his four siblings, ages 3 to 7, in their apartment in the East Ends Creighton Court housing project, a tough neighborhood plagued by drugs and violence. We dont know how long our parents were absent, he says. I heard stories that I had maggots eating at my backside
because nobody changed my diaper.
The situation was discovered after his eldest brother, Donald (now a Richmond School Board member), accidentally set the apartment on fire while trying to cook an egg for his siblings. The children became wards of the state; Colemans mother ran to Washington to avoid prosecution.
Years later, as an adult, Coleman reconciled with his mother, a relationship that shaped his performance on The Wire. My mother redeemed herself. She was so sorrowful about everything that happened, Coleman says. Thats why I liked playing Cutty. Thats why redemption and forgiveness are so huge with me.
The Coleman children were raised by foster parents George and Lottie Byrd in their home on North 35th Street. They instilled values in us, character and Christianity. We had to do Bible studies in the front of the house once a week, Coleman recalls. You were not going to be disrespectful. You were going to be a good kid you had to be.div]

Not sure what to make of this. Was it a rant about humanity or just a celeb "do you know who I am?!" meltdown?
Anyway I'll agree with his humanity sentiment and leave it there
