I don't think Texas should secede from the union.

I think we should kick their crazy asses out and give them back to Mexico.

Texas Governor Deploys State Guard To Stave Off Obama Takeover
May 02, 2015 9:27 PM ET -- Wade Goodwyn

Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott ordered the Texas National Guard to monitor a joint U.S. Special Forces training taking place in Texas, prompting outrage from some in his own party.

Since General Sam Houston executed his famous retreat to glory to defeat the superior forces of General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna, Texas has been ground zero for military training. We have so many military bases in the Lone Star State we could practically attack Russia.

So when rookie Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced he was ordering the Texas State Guard to monitor a Navy SEAL/Green Beret joint training exercise, which was taking place in Texas and several other states, everybody here looked up from their iPhones. What?

It seems there is concern among some folks that this so-called training maneuver is just a cover story. What's really going on? President Obama is about to use Special Forces to put Texas under martial law.

Let's walk over by the fence where nobody can hear us, and I'll tell you the story.

You see, there are these Wal-Marts in West Texas that supposedly closed for six months for "renovation." That's what they want you to believe. The truth is these Wal-Marts are going to be military guerrilla-warfare staging areas and FEMA processing camps for political prisoners. The prisoners are going to be transported by train cars that have already been equipped with shackles.

an even better article here, almost Rude Pundit style:

Jade Helm: The Insanity that Ate Texas

Jade Helm.

Martial Law.

FEMA Death Camps.

Oh, it’s coming, Folks. It’s a comin’.

This is it. This is the big one. Obama is about to make his move. Martial law, you betcha, FEMA death camps and secret tunnels under Wal-Mart. Oh they warned us, they did, the powdered wig wearing Patriots of the Tea Party, they warned us. Grab the wimen’ folk, load yer guns, hoist the Confederate Battle Flag! To the bunkers! To the bunkers!

YOUR GOVERNOR did this! The guy running your state. People elected him.

Same to Tammyyammy. You don't like it, talk to your legislators and tell them you are tired to be made to look like a laughing stock.

Or you could just blame me for posting a couple of articles. YOU live and put up with this lunacy. I live elsewhere and observe it.

In fact they voted 80 % to leave. It didn't seem like that big a deal to them at the time. In 25 years they had been a part of Spain, Mexico, an independent nation, the US, and then they were leaving again.

Little did they know when a state joined the US, it could never leave again.

Yankee armies and all that.

they seceded from Mexico in 1835: to keep slavery. Mexico had abolished slavery, so Texas fought to get out and keep it. It worked that time ....

With apologies/credit to James Petigru who said much the same about South Carolina just before it seceded.

There is no escaping it. By itself, it would just turn into a white Christian radical version of Somalia on America's doorstep, and constantly threaten and rob us from outside.

And I don't see much likelihood of secessionist psychos succeeding in the state, because there are plenty of Texas psychos who consider the United States their property, and wouldn't want to relinquish it for the sake of moral local ambitions. Any such movement would be mostly a Texas Civil War, not so much a larger American one.

When the states was readmitted to the union it was agreed they would not secede again. It is a big OOPS moment by those either uninformed or very good at lying. The GOP leaders we have are suffering from conspiracy theories and are fed by those like Alex Jones.

I thought to myself, "No, we ought throw her out." and then saw your comment and laughed.

At last someone to agree with, sort of.

But I thought Walmart got PO'd because the workers wanted higher wages or a union or some other crazy request, so the Family got even by closing 6 stores for 6 months or so, not only depriving these folks of higher wages and a union, but no union and no wages instead. You can't outsmart the richest family in the US. I think they only hire people they know they're smarter than.

I think they put shackles on the families of these workers to keep them from begging for food and embarrassing The Family.

I really like your story a lot better. It combines a lot of knowledge with a lot of imagination, and I'm giving you an "A" on this report.

I'm from Florida. Goin' home next week for ten days, will be doing business there.

READ THE ARTICLES.

This is not "South Bashing" or "Texas Bashing," and Florida is not the new cool place to bash. THIS IS A STUPID FUCKING GOVERNOR. If he was the governor of my state -- any state -- I don't care. He is a goddamn idiot. Don't make it into something it's not. Sometimes stupid is just stupid. Enter, Texas Governor Greg Abbott. He stepped up to the podium, he can eat his own words or stand by them. But my op had NOTHING to do with Texas Bashing or South Bashing. If you support this man, then I will bash you for being an idiot. I don't care what state you live in.
