I looked at the Nat Journal's liberal/conservative ratings & found Hill's way too liberal for me.

I mean, she's way up there, somewhere between #8 & # 11, so she must be pretty wild-eyed.

That's why I decided to go with a moderate. Say, someone down around 37 in the liberal rankings.

#37--Bernie Sanders by 2013 data, which was all I could find in a relatively brief search.

I'm much more comfortable knowing I'm supporting a moderate like Bernie instead of a wild-eyed liberal like Hill.

it just so happens that they rated last two Democratic nominees, John Kerry and Barack Obama, as the #1 most liberal Senator.
