Listening to Ed, I can't believe he's continuing the false meme

that US doesn't have skilled manufacturing related individuals looking for jobs. It's just that they don't feel their skills should be minimized to half or less of reasonable pay and bennies.

500,000 jobs in manufacturing but never mention the idea that the pay for those jobs are not what they were even 8 years ago. It's not good news when productivity expectations are so much higher than compensation commitments.

these gas companies for gouging??? It seems like a pretty straight forward case of gouging, but alas we don't count.

Gas would be cheap at $7 per gallon. I hope we can get it up there and stop this gas usage. We can ride bikes to work.

Many of my family live in rural Pennsylvania. They have jobs and they own homes, and are generally doing okay. But, in an area where the nearest supermarket is 8 miles away, not having a car is not an option. "Move," you say. Mind you, they live in a part of the state where real estate values have been severely depressed for decades. The so-called "real estate bubble" managed to bypass them entirely. So fine, they sell their homes for whatever meager price they can get for them, and move to more expensive areas and have very little to show for it, and as a result be that much poorer. Your prescription is simplistic and clueless.

When I go to visit my parents, I need someone to drive me around even to grab a cup of coffee. No sidewalks, no crosswalks, and everything is at least a mile away. We built Suburbia around the automobile, and made it impossible to function without one
