It was a documentary based on sub-Saharan patterns of FGM.
He was shot and killed over it.
Would anybody like to call him a "provocateur" for that?

I would hope that people would agree that people shouldn't be murdered for speech, provoking or otherwise.

I'm not a fan of murder as a consequence of speech--even hate speech. I think it's a bit OTT when censorship by death is the solution to a disagreeable, disgusting or divisive declaration!
