Virginia Teabagger group advocating armed revolution if Obama wins in November.

"Hello, Secret Service?"

GOP Newsletter Calls for Armed Revolution if Obama Re-Elected

Submitted by Josh Glasstetter on Tue, 05/08/2012 - 4:42pm

The Greene County, Virginia Republican Committee publishes a monthly newsletter for members called “The Constitutional Conservatives.” The newsletter is heavy on Tea Party rhetoric about how Obama and liberals are ruining America, and so forth. But even by these standards, an item in the March newsletter stands out.

In the “Whitehouse Watchdog” column, editor Ponch McPhee says that American cannot survive four more years under Obama, a “political socialist ideologue” who is “unlike anything world history has ever witnessed or recognized.” McPhee argues that Americans will have no option “but armed revolution should we fail with the power of the vote in November:”

The continued rhetoric from people like this should wake up Americans. We saw the start of this crap when Pres. Obama was running for office but what scares me is there is a faction of people out there that would do something crazy should Pres. Obama get re-elected. It scares me to think about that, but we've seen these loonies with their crazy websites and billboards and placards. I think much of it is race related, but at the same time, I really believe talk radio and certain members of the media have fanned the flames of absolute hatred for OUR President. The right can do all the comparisons they want but we never saw rhetoric like this with any of our previous Presidents. I don't totally agree with some of the things Pres. Obama has done....I wish he would have done more, but his hands are tied and this whole socialist bullshit is getting tiresome. Most of these lame-brained posters/opponents have no brain matter upstairs. They are total dumb asses, but there is a faction of people that follow along with what they say. All you have to do is read some of the postings on things like Yahoo and others.

Obama, a “political socialist ideologue” who is “unlike anything world history has ever witnessed or recognized.

Says who? The GOP Zombie Squad?

Never cracked a book in his life, I'll bet. It's official, we now live in the United States of Dumbfuckistan.

There are plenty of guys in world history who really were socialist ideologues, and there is no way Obama is one of them.

But if he was, it's just a political theory, he wouldn't make him the anti-Christ. I've got a lot more socialism running in my bloodstream than Obama ever will. More GOP hysteria for the feeble minded.

BTW, why do these 'freedom and liberty' loving patriots always want to impose death for thought crimes, most of them unproven?

What kind of 'freedom and liberty' is in reverse like that? And they dare call Obama 'Satan?' Isn't it that guy's modus operandi, to claim to be the exact opposite of what he is?

The Tea Baggers are exactly opposite to freedom and liberty in their actions. They can take their Ayn Rand libertarian crap and bury it in the back yard with their sanity.

We ain't falling for their lies anymore.

They think he's an intolerable tyrant now, but there are two reasons why they won't try anything now:

Reason 1: as stated above, they hope he loses the election. 'Course, if they really wanted him to lose the election they probably shouldn't have pinned their hopes on fifteen of the worst Americans to ever soil the face of the Republic.

Reason 2: they can't shoot, and know the people guarding the president CAN.

When Obama wins the election, it'll be "in 2015 when we take back the Senate and the House we'll take up arms if they don't impeach him" and in 2017 when he retires and returns to Chicago in glory it'll be "well, maybe the Mafia can kill him for all the damage he did."

Title: The Republican Party going to the right House

Year: 1860

Creator: Currier & Ives

Description: Abraham Lincoln's supporters are portrayed as radicals and eccentrics of various stripes. The satire is loosely based on an anti-Fremont cartoon from the previous presidential race, "The Great Republican Reform Party" (no. 1856-22), also issued by Nathaniel Currier. Here Lincoln, sitting astride a wooden rail borne by Horace Greeley, leads his followers toward a lunatic asylum. Greeley instructs him, "Hold on to me Abe, and we'll go in here by the unanimous consent of the people." Lincoln exhorts his followers, "Now my friends I'm almost in, and the millennium is going to begin, so ask what you will and it shall be granted." At the head of the group is a bearded man, arm-in-arm with a woman and a Mormon. He claims to "represent the free love element, and expect to have free license to carry out its principles." The woman looks at Lincoln, saying "Oh! what a beautiful man he is, I feel a passionate attraction' every time I see his lovely face." The Mormon adds, "I want religion abolished and the book of Mormon made the standard of morality." They are followed by a dandified free black, who announces, "De white man hab no rights dat cullud pussons am bound to spect' I want dat understood." Behind him an aging suffragette says, "I want womans rights enforced, and man reduced in subjection to her authority." Next a ragged socialist or Fourierist, holding a liquor bottle, asserts, "I want everybody to have a share of everybody elses property." At the end of the group are three hooligans, one demanding "a hotel established by government, where people that aint inclined to work, can board free of expense, and be found in rum and tobacco." The second, a thief, wants "the right to examine every other citizen's pockets without interruption by Policemen." The last, an Irish street tough, says, "I want all the stations houses burned up, and the M.P.s killed, so that the bohoys can run with the machine and have a muss when they please."

URL: http://hdl.loc.gov/loc.pnp/cph.3a05729

Historical note: in 1860, the Republican Party was the "radical left" party. And tell me if those caricatures couldn't be straight off of Fox: replace "free love element" with gays, the mormon with "secularists", Miss "what a beautiful man" with "obsessed with celebrity/charisma", and the whole rest of the cast: uppity minorities, sour feminists, crooks, moochers, etc.
