So very tired of Silly Season GRRR Someone posted a picture of The President and First Lady on FB

Why on earth do people just eat this stuff up like it's candy?

I replied with this:

"Oh please, anyone can see that is a mirror image. You can create it in any good photoshop program. I'm really tired of silly season. Disagree with him on policy fine, but geez stop with the foolishness."

That was before I found it on Snopes. Check it out.

It appears that it's being widely shared. It was shared on FB by a friend that I went to HS with years ago. If she doesn't like my comment, oh well. I'm so very tired of people not using their heads. There is way too much FAUX Noise out there.

I just retort with that, and that usually silences any further criticism.

in a new comment. I'm still waiting on a reply from the person who actually posted it. If she is unwilling to see the truth, then I will un-friend her.

When their friends post rallying cries, they are all over it.

I am having a tough time with a facebook friend of my own right now (I've already unfriended a cousin). My high school best friend has cancer. Her father is a Republican but, heretofore, a good guy. He's been posting anti-Obama healthcare screeds for weeks now. I told him yesterday to be happy. That I was still uninsurable.

I mean do people honestly think that not just ONE of them but BOTH of them would use their left hand? I guess the President and First Lady had this conversation before the photo that they would really stick it to America. It's mind blowing how people can just take something and run with it and never give it one ounce of critical thinking.

I'm sorry about your best friend, that must be horrible for you to deal with. What a delicate situation also to have her father posting that stuff at the same time. It sounds like you handled it well considering what he must be going through with his daughter being sick.

" personally i didnt share this picture based on politics at all... i post lots of pics where you find "what's wrong" with the picture. Like i said... it took me a second but i found it "

Well personally I think that is a "save your face" reply considering the facts staring back at you. She had no choice, but I will take it I suppose.

It's one of their favorite tactics when one uses Snopes to point out facts.

" I'm a conservative republican & also cannot stand this time of the election foolishness . It brings out the "high school" in these grown-ups! My FB friends share so many interesting pieces of information from the down-right-silly to the save-your-life medical tidbits! However, when it comes to items as mentioned above...I too check it out on snopes.com (tidbit) (tidbit)"

Who knew? lol

I love my country but IMO Patriotism can be taken to the extreme. It's like OMG you didn't put your right hand over your heart..FOR SHAME...FOR SHAME....you are clearly un-American. Does it really matter at the end of the day?
