... and, yeah, it is too late.
People just don't understand how big the convention is. It took months and months and thousands of people and millions of dollars to stage the 2008 convention here.
I understand why politically they picked Charlotte, but I thought even then it was a mistake.

(114,503 posts)5. I lived there many years ago but I know how slowly things change
in Dixie and I knew it was a mistake. They're going to have every white trash preacher in the state (and there are thousands) exhorting their congregations to refuse to do business with the conventioneers, to march against them, and worse.
We'll have to see how far they get.
