Jon Stewart on the Texas shooting

"It is not okay to shoot other people because you are offended but what they draw. Even if they drew it to offend you, no shooting of them. Never okay to shoot people. Never, ever okay." -- Jon Stewart

Religions calling for Jihad should not be questioned.

Or cartooned.

it would seem to imply it is never okay... some people think it IS never okay. Some people think circumstances justify a shooting. I do not pretend to know the answer to this question. I do not think anyone knows the answer. Violence begets more violence and yet sometimes violence seems necessary.

I missread the meaning of your post.

I do think when someone is shooting and killing innocent people, shooting them is justified. Preventing more innocent lives from being taken is the priority. But that is relegated to very extreme circumstances.

It would have been justifiable to shoot and kill the Charlie Heebo gunman after they fired their first shots.
