UK election 2015: Six reasons why anyone else should care

And our general election is tomorrow. Look out for a hung parliament with no overall majority and the rise of the Scottish Nationalists.

Voters in the UK prepare to go to the polls on Thursday in an election seen as one of the closest-fought in years.
But why should the vote be of interest beyond England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland?

Best odds on both of them: evens. Some bookies have them level at 10/11; some favour Miliband (eg Stan James 4/5, with Cameron 10/11), and others Cameron (eg bet365, at 17/20, with Miliband 19/20). And on the 2 bookies where odds are set purely by the weight of bets, befair has Miliband at 10/11, just ahead of Cameron as 20/21, while Betdaq has the same odds, but for the other leaders.

Seat calculators are now tending to agree with the Tories having a small lead on number of seats, and SNP getting between 51 and 56 seats: http://may2015.com/category/seat-calculator/

I'll be at the polling station later. I would have voted at 7am but time is short for me in the morning, and I will need to study the council ballot papers quite closely.
