So, I wrote a novel.

Just released on Amazon & Kindle.

It's hard-history World War One espionage/adventure with political undertones, sort of like Neal Stephenson.

The cover blurb reads: A famous surgeon leaves Paris to join his conscripted childhood friend in the German trenches of the Great War. Their technical skills embroil them in espionage and make them famous, which proves to be more dangerous than useful. Hated by the Kaiser, hunted by Churchill and finally captured by Patton, they find themselves in the center of the most brutal conflict anyone had ever seen, trying to survive the unsurvivable.

As a note to DU -- the main character's name is Abbot Hoffman. Coincidence, I'm sure.

You are wonderful.

Snow Crash is one of the best SF books I have read - still have chills when thinking about it. Good luck with this and I'll get back with my personal review.

Oh, and a plug for the new Chinese SF novel: The Three Body Problem.

i recently wrote a screenplay of about 110 pages and am now using it as an outline for a novel but am barely at 200 pages just with basic conversion. while i know page count doesn't mean squat literature-wise, i guess publishers like longer stuff (to charge more) and from first timers getting to 300 or more pages is probably mandatory.

well done
