Greenwald decries "fear-mongering orgy" over Yemen terror plot

Glenn Greenwald: "It is now confirmed that the would-be bomber of the civilian jet was, in fact, a double agent working for the CIA and Saudi intelligence. So just as virtually every “domestic Terror plot” is one conceived, directed, funded and controlled by the FBI, this new Al Qaeda plot from Yemen was directed by some combination of the CIA and its Saudi partners. So this wasn’t merely a failed, nascent plot which is causing this fear-mongering media orgy: it was one controlled at all times by the U.S. and Saudi Governments." http://www.salon.com/2012/05/08/us_attack_kills_5_afghan_kids/

We had so many years of home-grown low I. Q. specimens who couldn't afford shoes being trotted out as devastation near-misses without a peep.

4. Sounds like the Feds solved their own terror plot again.

That's their MO. They find a bunch of rubes that they can easily manipulate, press them to go along with a bomb plot, then make the bust, pat themselves on the back for solving a crime they created, and shriek on the air non-stop "LOOK! TERRORISTS! GIVE US YOUR LIBERTY, AMERICA! WE'LL PROTECT YOU!"

7. The biggest problem is the way the public is manipulated by this circus!

What this does is enable the feds to create a terrorist incident whenever they want, so they can keep a terror freak show on the corporate media. Every time the public starts stirring and complaining about losing their liberties, the Feds conjure another incident to quash the debate and fear-monger.

LOOK! MORE TERROR!

FEAR! FEAR! FEAR!

GIVE US YOUR LIBERTY AMERICA!

Poor Glen. So much outrage over AQAP being infiltrated.

11. I don't have any sympathy for the dopes who'd actually go along with a bomb plot.

But I'm not letting the FBI and CIA off the hook for their manipulations designed to fear-monger the American Public.

It's not me that feels that fear - it's the dopes that watch FOX News and think it's actually news.

14. Not seeing in fearmongering in announcing we disrupted the group

who sent bombs to synagogues in Chicago two years ago.

Not seeing this fear in announcing that the group behind the BA bomb plot was disrupted.

If anything this announcement should put put fear into AQAP and the GOP. I don't think the administration should worry about other fools who are afraid.

Maybe poor Glen can become AQAP's lawyer, and claim entrapment on the underwear bomb.

for the supposed "terrorists" in Florida during the Bush Administration.

They even bought the stuff to make the bombs for them.

Then they busted them.

And took credit for keeping us safe from the terrorists.

How much money are we spending on this war machine already? About a trillion and a half dollars every two years? To catch these folks that are making underwear bombs? Sounds a bit over-reactive, don't you think?
