(14,765 posts)So, Hillary is cool.
Intentionally misleading posts are not allowed here. Actually, anyone with a shred of moral fiber would not intentionally mislead, but I guess that's why we need rules.
And about that beating...
The OP is pure bullshit.

(114,904 posts)Israel by yelling shut up when he actually yelled shut up in response to people screaming obscenities at him and threatening him- and yes telling the Senator to "come down here" is an implicit threat.
In actuality, Bernie let someone go on for nearly two minutes and then attempted to respond. His response to the actual question was civil and respectful.

(39,770 posts)at least not on the video
the write up accompanying the vid says he was beaten and bloodied - it implies that it happened right in front of her
can't confirm that part because the vid just shows them hauling him out

(14,255 posts)her purpose? Because anything to keep Ray McGovern quiet was acceptable?

Is McGovern lying? Did the make-up people paint those bruises on and did he invent the bloody pants story out of nothing?
How much effort would it have taken for her to at least pause and stop the brute-handling of an elderly, much smaller man? Smirk/smile - YMMV.

(20,582 posts)That's Hannity/Beck style, not Amy Goodman or Ray McGovern's. Strange how once lauded and trusted professionals suddenly are turned into scheming liars when needed.

He probably was not beaten at all. He was bruised because he struggled against the behemoth who took him out of the auditorium.
If you are buying into the OP and it's bullshit.... gawd.
polly7
(20,582 posts)Now, where exactly was he 'struggling' against the behemoth? Did he throw a punch, knee the guy - what exactly did he do to deserve the bruising and blood, because I don't see that in either video clip.

He also showed the bruises he could show. He said he could not show the others without removing his trousers. He seems credible enough to me. Standing silently did not merit all that.

"It was about three hours that they held me until they let me out. I had to take a cab to the hospital where they x-ray'd me, treated me and dressed my wounds. Then the doctors told me that since this was an assault on me, I had to inform the police about who had assaulted me. A little humor helped then."

(14,040 posts)Here is what I found (and you can too with a bit of google searching)
The only sites claiming that he was beaten are Alex Jones pubs and 9/11 Truther sites.
McGovern, is apparently a Truther.
McGovern believes Israel will pull U.S. into war with Iran because the reason our U.S. foreign policy is horrible is because we support Israel.
Hagel Nabs Coveted 9/11 Truther Endorsement
Rounds out support from other anti-Semites and conspiracy theorists
Noted 9/11 Truther Ray McGovern endorsed former Sen. Chuck Hagel (R., Neb.) to be President Barack Obamas next Defense Secretary in an op-ed in the Baltimore Sun Thursday.
Mr. Obama will be offered more hare-brained schemes like that. Mr. Hagel would likely recognize them for what they are. He has been there, done that, having volunteered for Vietnam, with two purple hearts to prove it.
Mr. Hagel has explained his overall attitude in these words: Committing a nation to war, asking our men and women to make sacrifices that no other Americans will ever be asked to make, is a deadly serious decision. War is not an abstraction.
Mr. Hagel would be the first secretary of defense in 30 years with lessons learned from direct combat experience. About time, I would say. No more Ed Krukowskis sacrificed in fools errands, please.
McGovernwho endorsed the book 9/11 and American Empire (Vol. 1): Intellectuals Speak Out for providing compelling evidence that the 9/11 attacks were themselves orchestrated by [the George W. Bush] administration precisely so they could be thus exploitedhas blamed Israel for problems in the Middle East and promotes the USS Liberty conspiracy theory. He delivered a speech last year on Israel and Iran that implied there was an Israeli conspiracy to deny Obama a second term. McGovern has also supported Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.
http://freebeacon.com/politics/hagel-nabs-coveted-911-truther-endorsement/
I have to wonder what Mr. McGovern's current thoughts on Jade Helm 15 are.

And Hillary was smiling and pretending like it wasn't happening.
She clearly did not know how to handle the situation.
Nope, not a lie. Certainly less a lie than saying that Bernie Sanders told a person to shut up for asking about Israel. Now that is a vicious anti-semitic lie.

She did what any professional would do, she continued with her speech. It wasn't her State Dept. security team who dragged McGovern out of the room, it was the university's security people who evicted him.
Do you honestly think that someone on a podium, with spotlights on them, could have actually seen the details of what's going on in the audience? Ever been on a stage? It's hard to see anything besides the first few rows.
