South Korea says it will urge North Korea to stop jamming a satellite-based global positioning system.
The electronic attack has raised new safety concerns for aircraft and ships.

The South Korean government said in a statement on Wednesday that North Korea is responsible for the disruptions and that Seoul will protest the North's actions through the International Telecommunication Union in Geneva.

The statement says the South will send a letter to demand an immediate halt to the disruptions.
