How central should Gun Control be in how you select your Candidate?

Actually you could do a series of posts on this, switching out different issues.

Number 6 is perhaps awkwardly worded - the point is to cover issues that you think are necessary to win your vote, but not issues you feel passionately about on a day to day basis. For example, you might eliminate a candidate for having the wrong position on Gun Control, but you are really more interested in his or her stance on Civil Rights or Economic Policy.
