The purpose of the surprise Prince "Rally 4 Peace" Concert in Baltimore, Sunday, May 10, 2015, Mother' Day:

Snip, "In a spirit of healing, the event is meant to be a catalyst for pause and reflection following the outpouring of violence that has gripped Baltimore and areas throughout the U.S.," organizers said.

his surprise concert, "Rally 4 Peace" in Baltimore is outstanding obviously!

Through their art and activism people like Prince provide inspiration for others to continue the fight for peace and justice. For creating a day for music, art, beauty and socio-political awareness in Balto. I applaud him.

Thank you for your comments, they mean a lot. We need to see more public figures visible and open on the side of the people and for the protection of our democracy. Here's hoping we will.

what's happening there, in Detroit which he considers his second home and other places where racism and police oppression are exploding. Wouldn't be surprised if he returns to Balto. and we might get a chance to see him. (I saw him once, fantastic). Until then I'll be checking his tour schedule from time to time. Peace.

two tiers selling out. I included it in the link above, and how tickets were going fast. But didn't realize how fast! The norm for last minute, impromptu appearances Prince and others hold maybe.

His event was 1st announced in the press Tues., May 5. Tickets went on sale the next day, Wed. May 6.

Prince is very aware of tragic events and police brutality against young blacks in the US, esp. in cities. His concern for this major issue is mainly why I highlighted the event, "Rally 4 Peace". He also performed a surprise concert in Detroit in the last year, a city he considers his second home.

I read that he held a "Tribute to *Balto." event at his Minneapolis Studio which he invited people to via Twitter. Again, sorry this event is selling out, and inaccessible to many fans. Maybe he'll return to Balto., sooner than later.
