Obviously a clueless person behind the wheel, but a bumper sticker I saw yesterday ...

and I'm amazed it was still on the vehicle:

"Support the regular Joes - Vote McCain"

(I'm assuming the driver was supporting the Republican candidate for 2008, not something with the name McCain on it doing something else)

Now, exactly where or when did John McCain ever give the impression that he was a "regular Joe" who would understand the plight of those not making millions each year?

Unless the definition of "Regular Joe" has been modified to read: A "regular Joe" is someone whose father was an admiral, whose grandfather was an admiral, who was still flying jets after crashing several of them, who, when returning from the war with many disfiguring injuries, divorced his disfigured wife for a model-level millionaire heiress, and lives in enough houses that he forgets how many he has".

Since it takes money, big money is it even possible for a regular joe to win?

Often during primary season I see a "regular joe" give it a try. They normally lose big. If heading toward election day if they do seem to be any form of contender at all, they are totally slaughtered by negative advertising which will be aired 24/7. I don't know when the last time I can remember a regular joe win any office of worth.

and I am still seeing Bush/Cheney bumper stickers. There no Obama/Biden stickers, so mine may be the only one since I just received mine from the Obama Web site. I expect the cops to be following me like they did in 2008 when I had my Obama sticker. I live in a totally red county in North Georgia.

bumper stickers ... until late in the Bush residency.

Now, you can't find someone who would admit voting for him ONCE, let alone twice ... I was amazed that I saw someone who left his pro-McCain sticker on. (and it was spelled correctly ... in 2008, I published a pic where the supporter put up a sign saying McAin ... idiots showing exactly why they vote Repug)
