100 years of extinction

[IMG][/IMG]

The Barbary lion - extinct

Site gives the animals, big and small, that have become extinct over the last 100 years. Ranging from snails to rhinos, from the Bali Tiger to the Tasmanian Tiger to the Syrian Wild ass to the Carolina Parakeet, all victims of forces beyond their control - usually human encroachment that impacts on their very specific breeding and living areas.

Rather sad --- some gorgeous once living things on that list.
