They want the return of rule by landed gentry.
All the worst of England's Victorian Era; poor Houses, child labor, debtor's prison, indentured servitude, etc. But instead of it being the "white man's burden" to lead (with or without the consent of the followers) it is now the "rich man's burden" to drag us all into line.

Our world and every country in it are colonization targets of multinational corporations.

they are making MAD amounts of money on these victims of neglect.
dead people are harder to collect on.
