TALKING POINTS 101: Fast-Track Authority

Why would Congress voluntarily surrender their constitutionally guaranteed right to add amendments to a bill or treaty, unless they knew how politically damaging The bill or treaty would be?

Plausible deniability: "Yeah, that part of the treaty stunk, but all the other parts were good, and we weren't allowed to make changes, so..."

The very idea that the U.S. Senate would surrender their authority is un-American and seditious.
