I mean, they want to do the opposite of whatever Obama wants, right? So wouldn't that mean that they won't allow TPP to go through? Wouldn't that work in our favor?

more than they despise Obama

2. I think States Rights and Home Rule may be places where some GOP can be wedged

by the threat of ISDS.

Traditional republicans have fought to keep their government closer than DC, I can't imagine them wanting to surrender local control to Asian based corporations. But then I couldn't have imagined Obama getting next to no support from dem senators.

3. If the rank (phew!) and file Repubs knew how the TPP cedes US sovereignty to corporate courts

they might get on board to end it.

Remember their "NWO" / "UN world government" fears that had them beginning the survivalist movement in the '90's?

This time those fears would have a basis in fact.
