Instead of getting angry I wanted to write something to express how I feel at the moment. I am a gay person and I'm writing this from the gay perspective.

I am a human being, why won't you let me love?
My blood bleeds red, why won't you let me love?
I pay my taxes, why won't you let me love?
I know gay soldiers who have fought for our freedom, why won't you let me love?
I know gay people who help protect us from terrorist, why won't you let me love?
We all pay sales taxes for goods and services, why won't you let me love?
I wear a badge and I answer dangerous calls where I may have to give up my life to keep you safe, why won't you let me love?
I run into the buildings to save three kids and their parents and their dogs, why won't you let me love?
I spent 8 years going through medical school to learn how to save your life, why won't you let me love?
I have run for political office and I fight every day for people to marry who they want, why won't you let me love?
I entertain you on television, why won't you let me love?
I write the movies you enjoy every single day, why won't you let me love?
I play the piano at your church, why won't you let me love?
I teach your kids, why won't you let me love?
I program your web sites, why won't you let me love?
I also secretly lead your church, why won't you let me love?
Finally, I anchor your network news, why won't you let me love?
