I don't care how unfair such an ad would be. If they nominate Jeb Bush, I hope that at least once, an ad like LBJ's Daisy Girl ad would be put out related to 9/11, reminding everyone of what things were like under George W. Bush.
Make his brother's laughing, smirking face the image of horror and fear, and morph it into Jeb's. It would be gross propaganda, but it would be in service to the truth that another Bush regime would continue and probably exceed the nightmares of the previous.

(2,969 posts)I don't see how propagandistically associating Jeb Bush with his brother, and his brother with the events of his own rule would be "dumb."
Unless you think Republican complaints about the ad would do anything more than reinforce the message in it, since it would be fundamentally true.
And why do you think Jeb won't get the nomination?

(91 posts)Iraq would be a different story, but an a negative ad over 9/11 would be panned.

(11,804 posts)I don't think mirroring the shots of the daisy ad would be smart but connecting Jeb Bush to his brothers errors is going to be key in defeating him, particularly as he's made it clear that he still believes in his brother. And the legacy of W is 9/11, the increased surveillance state, and the dead in Iraq.
